News Conference called to demand better for Ontario's working families

QUEEN'S PARK, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 12, 2008) - This Friday, working parents and child care workers will hold a news conference at Queen's Park to demand a better performance from both the federal and provincial government when it comes to providing affordable, quality child care for Ontario's working families.

Confirmed speakers include Barbara Byers, executive vice-president of the Canadian Labour Congress; Irene Harris, secretary-treasurer of the Ontario Federation of Labour; and Jenny Robinson, executive director of the Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care.

Earlier this week, the Canadian Labour Congress released new information for working parents to help them see the progress (or lack thereof) governments are making when it comes to affordable, quality child care.
