Media Advisory: Canadian NGOs Having a Global Impact on Improvements to Maternal and Child Health

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Oct. 2, 2013) - The 70 Canadian organizations that comprise the Canadian Network for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (CAN-MNCH) are meeting this week to share success stories and strengthen their collaborative efforts in over a thousand regions around the world. CAN-MNCH was launched in 2010 through the Muskoka Initiative, after the Government of Canada made a strategic investment aimed at improving worldwide maternal, newborn and child health. At United Nation's meetings last week, the Prime Minister announced $203.55 million for nine new projects with a global reach.
