Analyzing 1 Day of Campus Waste Part of New and Innovative Curriculum Initiative
NORTH VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 15, 2012) - As a kick-off to National Waste Reduction Week in Canada (October 15-21), Encorp Pacific and Capilano University are showcasing a new and innovative curriculum initiative, the first in Canada, aimed at improving post-secondary students' recycling habits while instilling the value of resource recovery. As part of the curriculum initiative, hundreds of students from multiple disciplines will don safety equipment and analyze 1 day of campus waste on Tuesday, October 16, 2012.
Encorp Pacific's Return-It Man (mascot) will be on hand to provide an interactive educational session for kids and adults - including fun prizes - on the importance of recycling and what happens to beverage containers after they are recycled. For instance, you might be surprised to learn that juice boxes can be turned in to toilet paper!
