Media Advisory: Carleton U. Employees Set-Up Strike Information Pickets

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 14, 2010) - On November 15th, representatives from two of the largest trade unions at Carleton University will be handing information leaflet about Carleton's dismal labour relations and to warn students about a possible strike this week.

This information picket is organized by CUPE Local 2424 representing 800 offices, professional and technical staff, and CUPE Local 4600 representing 2200 Teaching Assistant's and Contract Instructors. Both groups have expressed frustration with the university bargaining position and have sought strike mandates. 

This event will occur at the two vehicle entrances into Carleton University starting at 7:30 am.
