Library and Archives Canada is pleased to feature Josiane Polidori, Head of Children's Literature at Library and Archives Canada, as guest speaker at a special holiday edition of Kaleidoscope, entitled Children's Books-A Seasonal Selection. The event will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. in Exhibition Room A of Library and Archives Canada, 395 Wellington Street, Ottawa.

Josiane brings a wealth of experience to the field of children's literature having served as Chair of the Program Committee for the International Forum on Canadian Children's Literature and as President of IBBY-Canada (International Board on Books for Young People). She also participated in the 2008 IFLA satellite conference Navigating with Youth as a member of the scientific committee.

Josiane will give her lecture and field questions in English and in French. Refreshments will be served following the presentation.

Kaleidoscope, a series of public talks by collection specialists on material from the Library and Archives Canada collection, is presented by The Friends of Library and Archives Canada.
