Media Advisory: Christmas for All! Christmas Is Coming Early for 2,000 Children at Welcome Hall Mission!

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Dec. 6, 2010) - On December 11th, Welcome Hall Mission is holding a Christmas party for underprivileged families in Montreal. Some 2,000 children, whose families are struggling through tough economic times, will receive toys this Christmas thanks to the generosity of individual donors and organizations with a heart for children. Welcome Hall Mission is honoured to count Schleich Canada, Îlot 307, Le Devoir, Filosofia, MEGA Brands and Hasbro among our major partners.

To shelter these children from the reality of their situation, employees and volunteers are transforming our facilities. This will be a festive holiday event filled with live music, fun activities and performances for children of all ages! They'll be able to decorate gingerbread cookies and ornaments, play games, enjoy shows, sit on Santa's lap and receive new toys for Christmas!

We invite the media to witness the work Welcome Hall Mission does addressing the issue of poverty by serving the community with dignity and respect; but most importantly, we invite the media to witness the love, hope, peace and joy of the season in the eyes of a child.

In the days following Christmas for All, Welcome Hall Mission will also be distributing thousands of Christmas baskets for disadvantaged families experiencing hardship this season. We've experienced a 22% increase in demand at our food bank this year. Thanks to our generous donors, we are able to fill each basket with groceries, clothing and footwear.
