MONCTON, NEW BRUNSWICK--(Marketwired - Sept. 2, 2016) - CLC Executive Vice-President, Donald Lafleur, will be in New Brunswick for this year's Labour Day celebrations. He will speak at the Moncton and District Labour Council picnic on Sunday September 4, and at the Fredericton and District Labour Council picnic on Monday September 5.
Lafleur will speak to how Canadian unions won an expanded Canada Pension Plan and how they are working to win a ban on asbestos. He will also highlight the need for more good jobs and an end to precarious work.
Canadian unions are launching a new campaign on Labour Day and the website, www.fairnessworks.ca, features three compelling new videos.
