Media Advisory: CLC to Appear at Finance Committee

Wants action on job creation, EI, pensions in 2011 budget

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 20, 2010) - Andrew Jackson, Chief Economist for the Canadian Labour Congress, will appear before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance on Wednesday, October 20 regarding preparations for the 2011 federal budget.

The CLC's presentation to the committee will call on the federal government to address three key issues in the next budget — job creation, Employment Insurance and pensions.
