WHAT: Each month, Cineplex Entertainment's Front Row Centre Events offers our guests great entertainment on the big screen. Met Opera, National Theatre, WWE live events, ballet, documentaries and other exclusive events can be seen at participating Cineplex theatres. THE METROPOLITAN OPERA

Handel's Rodelinda

When: December 3rd at 12:30 p.m. EST

Sensational in the 2004 Met premiere of Stephen Wadsworth's much-heralded production, Renée Fleming reprises the title role. She's joined by Stephanie Blythe and counter-tenor Andreas Scholl, and Baroque specialist Harry Bicket conducts.

Gounod's Faust

When: December 10th at 12:55 p.m. EST

With Jonas Kaufmann in the title role, René Pape as the devil, and Marina Poplavskaya as Marguerite, Gounod's classic retelling of the Faust legend couldn't be better served. Tony Award®-winning director Des McAnuff updates the story to the first half of the 20th century with a production that won praise in London last season. Montreal-native Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts on the heels of his Don Carlo success.

Mozart's The Magic Flute - A Holiday Encore Performance

When: December 28th at 11:00 a.m. EST

Celebrated director Julie Taymor, who brought The Lion King to Broadway, casts her spell on Mozart's The Magic Flute. Dancing bears, flying birds, even a giant serpent - all are brought vividly to life through Taymor's ingenious use of puppetry. This abridged 90 minute version is sung in English and features an attractive young cast conducted by beloved Met Maestro James Levine.

Hansel And Gretel - A Holiday Encore Performance

When: December 29th at 11:00 a.m. EST

Most fairy tales, though charming on the outside, have darker underpinnings. Alice Coote and Christine Schäfer play the siblings lost in a shadowy world of unknown menace, pursued by the Witch (portrayed by tenor Philip Langridge) who seeks to devour them. The English-language production of Engelbert Humperdinck's masterful treatment of the beloved story by the Brothers Grimm is the second in the Met's annual series of special holiday presentations.

BALLET

The Nutcracker - The Bolshoi Ballet Series

When: December 18th at 1:00 p.m. local time, December 19th at 6:30 p.m. local time

Drosselmeyer, a timeless magician and creator of mechanical toys and clocks, was once employed in a royal palace where he invented a trap that killed off half the mouse population. In revenge the wicked Queen of the Mice cast a spell over Drosselmeyer's nephew, Hans-Peter, which transformed him into an ugly Nutcracker Doll. The only way to break the spell was for the Nutcracker to slay the Mouse King, thereby committing an act of great bravery, and for a young girl to love and care for him in spite of his awful appearance.

THEATRE

Collaborators - National Theatre Live 2011-12 Season

When: December 1st at 7 p.m. EST, CST, PST, 8 p.m. MST

Collaborators is a new play by John Hodge (screenwriter of Trainspotting, Shallow Grave, The Beach) directed by National Theatre Director Nicholas Hytner. The play centres on an imaginary encounter between Joseph Stalin and the playwright Mikhail Bulgakov (best known for his novel The Master and Margarita); Alex Jennings (The Habit of Art) will play Bulgakov and Simon Russell Beale (London Assurance) will play Stalin.

CLASSIC MOVIES

White Christmas - A Classic Film Series Presentation

When: December 7th at 7 p.m. local time, December 11th at 1 p.m. local time

A successful song-and-dance team become romantically involved with a sister act and team up to save the failing Vermont inn of their former commanding general. Starring: Bing Crosby, Danny Kane

Top Gun - A Most Wanted Mondays Presentation
