WHAT: Each month, Cineplex Entertainment's Front Row Centre Events offers our guests great entertainment on the big screen. Concerts, Met Opera, National Theatre, WWE live events, ballet, documentaries and other exclusive events can be all seen at participating Cineplex theatres. Here is your listing of the many great Front Row Centre Events Cineplex has in October!
Courageous

Phantom of the Opera– 25th Anniversary
When: October 3rd at 7 p.m. and October 22nd at 1:00 p.m. (local time)
This special 25th Anniversary staging by Sir Cameron Mackintosh of Andrew Lloyd Webber's brilliant original Broadway musical, pays special tribute to Phantom of the Opera with a spectacular and unique production that will include a cast and orchestra of over 200. The event will be recorded live from London's Royal Albert Hall on Sunday, October 2nd.
The Kitchen– National Theatre Live 2011-12 Season
When: October 6th at 7 p.m. (local time)
Arnold Wesker's extraordinary play premiered at the Royal Court in 1959 and has since been performed in over 30 countries. The Kitchen puts the workplace centre stage in a blackly funny and furious examination of life lived at breakneck speed, when work threatens to define who we are. Directed by Bijan Sheibani (an NT Associate Director).
Esmeralda– The Bolshoi Ballet Series
When: October 9th at 1 p.m. (local time)
Esmeralda tells the story of the hunchbacked Quasimodo who is hopelessly in love with the gypsy girl Esmeralda, who, in turn, loves Captain Phoebus. Frollo is also infatuated with Esmeralda and stabs Phoebus out of jealousy. Esmeralda is then accused of Phoebus's murder and is sentenced to death. But before it is too late for Esmeralda, Frollo's crime is exposed and Esmeralda is saved.
Peter Gabriel – New Blood, Live in London – Presented in 3D
When: October 13th at 7:00 p.m. local time
Over two nights in March 2011, Peter Gabriel took to the stage at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo, London, in the company of the 46-strong New Blood Orchestra, with the entire event filmed in 3D. The extraordinary show features a handful of the covers from Scratch My Back, but the majority of songs are taken from Peter's solo career and given the same glorious orchestral treatment.
The Captains
When: October 13th at 7:00 p.m. local time
The Captains is a feature length documentary that "boldly goes where no man has gone before." Viewers get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at one of the most durable and profitable franchises in entertainment history, and the men and women who made the Star Trek brand an international phenomenon since 1966. Written and directed by William Shatner.
Anna Bolena– The Met Live in HD 2011-12 Season
When: October 15th at 12:55 p.m. EDT
Anna Netrebko opens the Met season with her portrayal of the ill-fated queen driven insane by her unfaithful king. She sings one of opera's greatest mad scenes in a production that also stars Ekaterina Gubanova as her rival, Jane Seymour, and Ildar Abdrazakov as Henry VIII. Marco Armiliato conducts.
North by Northwest- A Classic Film Series Presentation
When: October 16th at 1 p.m. local time, October 19th at 7 p.m. local time
A hapless New York advertising executive is mistaken for a government agent by a group of foreign spies, and is pursued across the country while he looks for a way to survive. Directed by Alfred Hitchcock and stars Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint and James Mason.
WWE Bragging Rights
When: October 23rd at 8 p.m. EDT, 5 p.m. PDT
Another great night of WWE action on the big screen at participating Cineplex Entertainment theatres. New WWE Superstars set up to try and make a name for themselves while others settle their feuds once and for all!
God Bless Ozzy Osbourne
When: October 26th at 7 p.m. (local time)
Ozzy Osbourne's four decade track record as the wildest man in rock is unprecedented, but his personal struggles have been shrouded in secrecy, until now. God Bless Ozzy Osbourne is the first documentary to take viewers inside the complex mind of rock's great icon. Featuring a blistering mix of never before seen footage from recent tours, including South America, Australia and archive footage of Black Sabbath plus interviews with Paul McCartney, Tommy Lee and others, this is a must see.
Don Giovanni– The Met Live in HD 2011-12 Season
When: October 29th at 12:55 p.m. EDT
Mariusz Kwiecien brings his youthful and sensual interpretation of Mozart's timeless anti-hero to the Met for the first time, under the direction of Tony Award®-winning director Michael Grandage and with James Levine conducting. A troupe of refined Mozartians appears in this new production, including Marina Rebeka, Barbara Frittoli, Isabel Leonard, Matthew Polenzani, Ramón Vargas, and John Relyea. Gerald Finley steps into the title role later in the season, and Andrew Davis also conducts.
Ghostbusters– A Most Wanted Mondays Presentation
When: October 31st at 7 p.m. (local time)
Fired from their university research jobs, Drs. Venkman, Stantz, and Spengler promptly set up shop as parapsychologists specializing in psychic phenomena and soon they're ridding Manhattan of bizarre apparitions. But the talents of these spirit exterminators-- Ghostbusters--are severely tested when beautiful Dana Barrett and her nerdy neighbor become possessed by demons living in their building.
