Media Advisory: Commissioner of Official Languages to Release Language Rights 2005-2006 and Charter Video

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - April 13, 2007) - On April 16, the Commissioner of Official Languages, Graham Fraser, will be a guest panelist at a conference entitled Canadian Rights and Freedoms: 25 Years Under the Charter, organized by the Association for Canadian Studies at the University of Ottawa. At this event, the Commissioner will release the publication Language Rights 2005-2006 as well as premiere the video One Charter, Two Languages, A Thousand and One Voices, in which young Canadians from diverse backgrounds describe in their own words what the Charter and linguistic duality mean to them.
