Media Advisory/CORRECTION FROM SOURCE: Government Marks Success of Home Renovation Tax Credit

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 24, 2011) - This document corrects and replaces the advisory sent earlier today at 6:00 PM EST.

On Tuesday, January 25, 2011, the Honourable James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, invites the media to join him in an event marking the success of the Home Renovation Tax Credit. (HRTC).

The HRTC was introduced as part of the Government's Economic Action Plan to help sustain employment and output during a period of particular economic weakness. The HRTC has been acclaimed for the timely and important incentive it provided for Canadians to invest in their homes—thereby supporting employment in the construction industry.
