Media Advisory: Court Martial for Master Corporal Clarence Stillman

SHILO, MANITOBA--(Marketwired - Oct. 18, 2013) - Canadian Forces Base (CFB) SHILO, Man.-The standing court martial for a Canadian Armed Forces supply technician, Master Corporal Clarence Stillman, in relation to firearm-related charges, begins next week. The trial is open to the media and the public.

When: Tuesday, October 22, 2013, starting at 9:30 a.m.
Media are asked to arrive no later than 9 a.m. to ensure access and receive a briefing.
Where: CFB Shilo - Shilo, Manitoba
Courtroom: Second floor - Multi-Purpose Training Facility (Bldg C-106)
What: Master Corporal Stillman faces a standing court martial in relation to charges resulting from a shooting incident that occurred in the residential area of CFB Shilo in July 2012.

He is charged with nine counts of firearms-related charges, each contrary to section 130 of the National Defence Act and pursuant to sections 244, 244.2, 268, 85, 90, 93 and 95 of the Criminal Code of Canada.
