MEDIA ADVISORY: CUPE Ontario president joining injured workers' rally

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Dec. 8, 2014) - Fred Hahn, president of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Ontario will speak at the 23rd annual injured workers' demonstration outside the Ministry of Labour in Toronto at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 8.

Together with workers and injured worker advocacy groups, CUPE Ontario is calling for a stop to changes at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board that are reducing benefits for workers injured on the job and increasing the number of claims being denied.

CUPE is Ontario's community union, with members providing the quality public services we all rely on, in every part of the province, every day. CUPE Ontario members are proud to work in social services, health care, municipalities, school boards, universities and airlines.
