MEDIA ADVISORY: CUPE to participate in December 6 vigil in Bridgewater, NS

BRIDGEWATER, NOVA SCOTIA--(Marketwired - Dec. 4, 2014) - Sharon Hubley, the Chair of CUPE Nova Scotia's Women's Committee, will take part in a December 6 candlelight vigil in Bridgewater to mark the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. The day of remembrance is a commemoration of the 1989 Montreal Massacre - the murder of 14 women at École Polytechnique on December 6th, 25 years ago.

The event is being hosted by the South Shore District Labour Council.

WHEN: Saturday, December 6thfrom 2:30 pm until 4:30 pm
