Media Advisory: CYBF Convenes Young Entrepreneurs and Experts From Across Canada in Landmark 10-City Tour to Develop Coordinated Entrepreneurship Action Plan

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Jan. 20, 2014) - The Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) invites members of the media to the launch of Action Entrepreneurship: Growing Young Enterprise in Toronto on Wednesday, January 22.

This is the first in a 10-city roundtable series convening the best and brightest young entrepreneurs with business and non-profit leaders, educators, policy makers and others to identify the best opportunities to expand Canadian youth entrepreneurship. The series will culminate in a national summit in Toronto in May 2014 aimed at agreeing on and committing to an action plan.

Who: More than 100 Toronto-based young entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship experts will be joined by guest speakers, including The Honourable Reza Moridi, Ontario's Minister of Research and Innovation; Julia Deans, CEO, CYBF; Samantha Chan, CYBF-supported entrepreneur and owner of Paintlounge; Arjun Kumar, CEO, Kela Medical and G20 Youth Entrepreneurship Alliance delegate; Colleen McMorrow, Entrepreneurial Services Leader, EY; and Ilse Treurnicht, CEO, MaRS.
What: Participants will draw from their insights, personal experiences and the latest evidence-based research (available at to recommend ways to expand youth entrepreneurship, concentrating on four key driver: mindset, skills, resources and markets.
