Media Advisory: Day of Action for Maintaining Firefighting Services in Rosemere


MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - March 11, 2016) - Local 501 of the United Food and Commercial Workers union representing firefighters for the City of Rosemère, is inviting the media to a day of action in support of maintaining firefighting services in Rosemère.

On this day of action, the firefighters who were abruptly fired on March 7th will reach out to the Rosemère community in order to inform them about the detrimental effects of the firefighting services closure. Citizens can show their support of the firefighters by signing the petition entitled "My firefighter is vital in Rosemère", demanding that firefighting services be maintained.
