Media Advisory: Disney On Ice Celebrates 100 Years of Magic to Hold Skating Party with Local Children

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - March 23, 2007) - Disney On Ice invites media representatives to Scotiabank Place on Friday, March 23, at 4:45 p.m., when the stars of Disney On Ice Celebrates 100 Years of Magic will host a skating party for 25 children, as identified by Children and Youth Friendly Ottawa (CAYFO). The stars from Disney On Ice, including Mickey Mouse, will serve as hosts.

What: A skating party with 25 children and the skaters from Disney On Ice Celebrates 100 Years of Magic; following the skate, the children will meet Mickey Mouse

When: Friday, March 23, at 4:45 p.m.

Where: Scotiabank Place - please use the media entrance at Gate 3

CAYFO is a dynamic not-for-profit youth organization that has focused its attention on providing the very best services to the young people of Canada's capital city since 1997. They work on the promotion of youth engagement and volunteering; manage some of the best youth awards programs, youth leadership programs and conferences in Canada. They have spearheaded innovative anti-bullying and victimization projects and have helped children at risk. CAYFO has also bridged the generations, promoted partnerships, encouraged young people to excel and celebrated this excellence.

Disney On Ice Celebrates 100 Years of Magic will perform six more shows from March 23 to March 25:

Friday, March 23 - 7 p.m.

Saturday, March 24 - noon, 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Sunday, March 25 - 12:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. (French show)

Tickets to this Disney On Ice adventure are $55 (rinkside seats), $40, $26, $17, and $12 for all shows. Prices include all taxes exclude CRF and convenience charges.

Children (12 and under) and seniors (65 and over) will receive $3.50 off full-price tickets for 7 p.m. performances on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and the 4 p.m. show on Sunday. No discount on rinkside seats for any of the shows. No double discounts.

Groups of 15 or more will receive $4.50 off each ticket on all performances from Friday through Sunday (excluding rinkside seats).
