Media Advisory/DND: ISAF Regional Command (South) Informal Meeting in Quebec City

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - April 10, 2007) - The Honourable Gordon O'Connor, Minister of National Defence, will be hosting an informal working meeting with representatives of countries who have forces in the International Security Assistance Force's (ISAF) Regional Command South, RC (South). The meeting will be held on 12 April 2007 at the Citadelle in Quebec City.

"The participants at the working meeting will share best practices and explore ways to enhance working relationships among Regional Command South countries under the guidance of ISAF," said Minister O'Connor.

In addition to RC (South), ISAF is organized into four other Regional Commands (North, West, East, and Capital).

Canada, Australia, Denmark, Estonia, Netherlands, Romania, United Kingdom, and United States are countries with troops in RC (South).
