Media Advisory: Do You Remember Your "First Time?"

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - March 10, 2015) -

WHAT: Seneca College students will practice public speaking outdoors in Kensington Market. Rain, snow or shine, students will be sharing their most memorable "first time" to prepare for VOICES, an upcoming inter-college public speaking competition. Topics will include politics, education, health, feminism, sports and professional development. "First time" experiences will include being featured on a Canadian TV show, being diagnosed with a chronic medical condition, hiking the Amazonian rainforest and participating in a rowing race.

*There will be many photo opportunities. Students will use presentational aids including sports gear, fake blood and medical devices.

WHEN: Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

WHERE: 5 Bellevue Ave., Toronto.
Speeches will begin at the Augusta Ave. entrance of Bellevue Square, move north on Augusta Ave. towards College St.

WHO: Seneca College students from Canada, Mali, Britain, Ukraine, Colombia, Belgium and Nigeria.
