MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - April 16, 2008) - After a four-year absence, Eddie Torres, "The Mambo King," is coming back for the Montreal Salsa Convention. He will be giving a special salsa workshop on Friday, April 18, starting at 5 p.m.. For salseros, doing a workshop with The Mambo King is an unforgettable experience. He was the first to structure the salsa technique, so that he could teach it. It was Eddie who laid the basis for salsa as we know it today. He set up a dance program for kids in the Bronx so they could learn salsa and mambo, along with ballet, jazz or tap. He has a repertoire of over 300 steps & turns.
