Media Advisory: Energy Efficiency and Holiday Cheer Arrives With the 2009 LED Holiday Light Exchange

WHAT:

You're invited to attend the 2009 LED Holiday Light Exchange! Bringing energy savings and increased safety this holiday season, San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) is once again offering free LED holiday lights in exchange for your old incandescent holiday light strands. At our holiday lighting events, you can exchange up to three incandescent holiday light strands for multi-colored LED holiday light strands. New this year, you will also receive a FREE Home Energy & Water Savings Kit and an eco-friendly reusable shopping bag! The kit includes a low-flow showerhead and three faucet aerators.

Please bring a valid California ID or a copy of your SDG&E bill to participate.

            *Exchange up to five incandescent light bulbs for energy-
            efficient CFLs, and up to two halogen torchiere lamps for more
            energy efficient models at the LED Holiday Light Exchange
            events in Coronado and El Cajon only.

MORE INFO:  LED holiday lights are cool to the touch (a reduced fire
            hazard) making them safer for you and your family; and LED
            lights are brighter, last up to 100 times longer than
            incandescent lights, and provide up to 90 percent in energy
            savings.

Please bring a valid California ID and/or a copy of your current SDG&E bill with you to the event. Lighting offer is limited to three incandescent holiday light strands and one home energy-savings kit per household per year. These programs may be modified or terminated without prior notice.
