Media Advisory: Environment Ministers to Meet in Montreal, Quebec

WINNIPEG, MB--(Marketwired - September 26, 2016) - The Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME) will meet in Montréal, Québec on October 3, 2016 to work on the development of a pan-Canadian framework on clean growth and climate change. Ministers will also discuss air quality.

CCME is made up of environment ministers from each of the provinces and territories and the Government of Canada. The current president of CCME, the Honourable David Heurtel, Québec's Minister of Sustainable Development, Environment and the Fight Against Climate Change will host the meeting, which will be held at the Montréal Marriott Château Champlain.

There will be a photo opportunity for members of the media at 3:50 pm EDT on October 3, 2016 in Salon Cartier A/B/C of the Château Champlain. At the close of the meeting on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 4:30 pm EDT, CCME will issue a communiqué and hold a news conference, also in Salon Cartier A/B/C.
