Media Advisory: Environment Ministers to Meet in Prince Edward Island

WINNIPEG, MANITOBA--(Marketwired - Sept. 5, 2014) - The Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME) will meet in Brudenell, PEI on Thursday September 11, 2014 to discuss a range of issues, including waste management and spills prevention and response.

CCME is made up of environment ministers from each of the provinces, territories and the Government of Canada. The current president of CCME, the Honourable Janice Sherry, PEI's Minister of Environment, Labour and Justice, will chair the meeting, which will be held in the Georgetown/Montague Room on the main level of the Rodd Brudenell River Hotel, #3 Highway, Brudenell, Prince Edward Island.

There will be a photo opportunity for members of the media at 3:15 pm ADT. At the close of the meeting, CCME will issue a communiqué and hold a news conference on Thursday September 11, 2014 at 4:00 pm ADT (3:00 pm EDT).
