MEDIA ADVISORY: Exploring the Role of the Federal Government in Mental Health

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - June 1, 2015) - In partnership with the Canadian Psychiatric Association and the Canadian Psychological Association, The Economic Club of Canada is pleased to host a representative from each major federal political party as they share their perspectives on the role of the federal government in supporting the mental health of Canadians. While the federal government has direct responsibilities for a number of populations (e.g. First Nations, Corrections Services, Military, Public Servants), it also has an important collaborative and strategic role to play with the provinces and territories when it comes to the provision of mental health services and supports to Canadians.
