Media Advisory: Fastest-Improving Elementary Schools Named in Fraser Institute School Rankings Coming Monday, Feb. 7

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Feb. 4, 2011) - One of the fastest-improving elementary schools in BC has an average parental income of less than $26,000, according to the Fraser Institute's annual report card on BC's elementary schools.

The Report Card on British Columbia's Elementary Schools 2011 will be released Monday, Feb. 7 at 6:30 a.m. (Pacific).

The report card provides parents with information they can't easily get anywhere else, allowing them to track trends at a school over a number of years and compare the performance of a school with that of others.

A news release with additional information will be issued via Marketwire on Monday, Feb. 7 at 6:30 a.m. (Pacific).

Detailed results for individual schools will be available in an interactive and searchable format or as a free PDF at www.britishcolumbia.compareschoolrankings.org.

Peter Cowley, Fraser Institute director of school performance studies and co-author of the report card, will be in Vancouver and available for media interviews the day of the release.
