OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 1, 2013) - The 2013 Ferguslea Sens Soirée Graffiti, the premier fundraising event of the Sens Foundation, will be held Monday, Feb. 4, at the Hilton Lac-Leamy Convention Centre in Gatineau, Que.
This year's event, which is themed Graffiti, was inspired by finding beauty in the unlikeliest of places. The event will feature the presence of the active Senators roster, members of the coaching staff and front office, in addition to graffiti artists and entertainment by Ottawa Urban Arts, DJ Calkuta, DJ J.E.T.S. and the Breadcrumb Crew. Senators' public-address announcer Stuntman Stu of MAJIC 100 will serve as emcee for the evening.
Guests will have an opportunity to hone their skills at a variety of games alongside Senators president Cyril Leeder and his wife, Lydia, who will join Senators players and their wives and guests as celebrity hosts for the event. Sens Foundation president Danielle Robinson and Ferguslea Properties Limited president Dan Greenberg and his wife, Barbara Crook, will also be on hand to greet guests. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to bid on phenomenal auction items and enjoy a gourmet meal prepared by one of the finest chefs in the region, Ken Coderre. More than 700 guests are expected for the evening, which is considered one the region's premier social events of the year.
The Senators and the Sens Foundation, through their annual dinner/soirée event, have provided more than $3 million to area charities since 1992.
