Media Advisory: Fraser Institute to Release Report Card on Quebec Secondary Schools at Sept. 19 News Conference

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Sept. 18, 2008) - The Fraser Institute will release the annual Report Card on Quebec Secondary Schools: 2008 Edition on Friday, September 19 at 10 a.m.

The Report Card on Quebec Secondary Schools: 2008 Edition is the only independent measurement of 474 of Quebec's public and private, French and English, secondary schools. These results will be published in a 36-page insert in Le Journal de Montreal and Le Journal de Quebec, available at the news conference (and on newsstands on September 20th). The results will also be available at


The full report card and complete rankings will be released at a news conference hosted by the Fraser Institute. Report card authors Tasha Kheiriddin, Fraser Institute Director for Quebec and la francophonie, and Peter Cowley, Fraser Institute Director of School Performance Studies, will provide a brief overview of the report card results and be available for questions.
