Media Advisory: Fraser Institute to Release Study that Documents Federal Government Failures

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 14, 2005) - On Monday, October 17 at 7:00 am Eastern, The Fraser Institute will release a new paper Government Failure in Canada, 2005 Report: A Review of Auditor General's Reports, 1992-2005.

Based on 284 examples of federal government waste and excess documented by the Auditor General, this report considers whether the sponsorship scandal was a predictable government failure.

Note: There will be a policy briefing on October 17 at the Institute's Vancouver office for the release of the publication. The event is open to the public and interested media are also invited to attend.
