Media Advisory: Fraser Institute's Annual British Columbia Secondary School Rankings Coming Thursday, May 14

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - May 13, 2015) - The Fraser Institute's Report Card on British Columbia's Secondary Schools 2015, the go-to source for measuring school improvement, will be released Thursday, May 14.

The report card provides parents with information they can't easily get anywhere else. In addition to five years of academic results, the report card shows which B.C. public and independent secondary schools have improved, or fallen behind, based on seven performance indicators derived from provincewide test results.

The data in the report card also enable comparisons of 57 of the province's public school boards.

A news release with additional information will be issued via Marketwired on Thursday, May 14 at 5:00 a.m. (PST).

The complete results for all 289 secondary schools will also be available at www.compareschoolrankings.org.

Peter Cowley, co-author of the report card, will be in Vancouver and available for embargoed interviews on Wednesday, May 13 and post-embargo interviews on Thursday, May 14.
