Media Advisory: Fraser Institute's Retired Executive Director Michael Walker to be 'Roasted' in Vancouver

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 14, 2005) - Dr. Michael Walker's long years of service at The Fraser Institute will be celebrated with a Roast in Vancouver on Tuesday, November 15.

Dr. Walker will be honoured for his 31 years as executive director of The Fraser Institute and for his role in helping to shape the debate of the role markets in both Canada and internationally.

Since retiring in September 2005, Michael Walker has moved into his new role President of the Fraser Institute's Foundation and as a Senior Fellow at the Institute. He continues to travel widely and speak to think tanks and other organizations around the world.
