EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - March 18, 2008) - The Honourable Rona Ambrose, President of the Queen's Privy Council of Canada, Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, and Minister of Western Economic Diversification, on behalf of the Honourable Jim Prentice, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Genome Canada, will launch the national tour of The GEEE! in Genome, Phase II, Canada's DNA and genomics exhibition on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 11:00 am.

The Honourable Doug Horner, Minister of Advanced Education and Technology; Ms. Joanne DiCosimo, President and CEO, Canadian Museum of Nature; Mr. Harold Robinson, Board of Trustees, Canadian Museum of Nature (CMN); Dr. Martin Godbout, President and CEO, Genome Canada and George Smith, CEO, TELUS World of Science invite you to attend a press conference and exhibition tour.

This exhibition explores the intricate functions of genes and cells, genomics' applications, and highlights Canadian achievements in this field. Ethical considerations of this cutting-edge science will also be addressed. The exhibition is a tribute to the late Dr. Michael Smith, 1993 Nobel Prize winner in chemistry.
