Media Advisory: Giant Tiger Stores in Fredericton Team Up With Customers to Help Local Food Banks

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 2, 2011) - The Giant Tiger stores located on Union Street and on Smythe Street in Fredericton, N.B. appeal to their customers to help them raise as much money as possible for local food banks. These stores will donate $1 to the Minto Food Bank and to the Fredericton Food Bank for every transaction that takes place on Tuesday, December 6, 2011. The amount will be revealed on Friday, December 9 during a presentation to a representative of these food banks.

These are two of several Giant Tiger stores extending a helping hand to their local food bank. The communities we serve are amazing and our customers are always generous and willing to help, especially those in need during the holiday season. We encourage other retailers to do the same and bring some relief to their local food bank and Christmas Hamper Programs. Nobody should go without food.
