Media Advisory: Government of Alberta and Calgary Homeless Foundation Announce Program to House and Support Most Vulnerable Homeless Calgarians

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Oct. 20, 2010) - Calgary Homeless Foundation 

What: Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach and the Calgary Homeless Foundation will announce funding to provide housing with supports for Calgary's most vulnerable, chronically homeless individuals at Ed's House Warming Party.
When: Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from 5 – 7 p.m.
Who: More than 250 Calgarians will be joining the Honourable Premier and Mrs. Stelmach, including:
  • Honourable Jonathan Denis, Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs
  • Naheed Nenshi, Mayor-elect, The City of Calgary
Where: Metropolitan Centre

Background: Ed's House Warming Party is a fundraising reception presented by the Calgary Homeless Foundation. 100% of proceeds from ticket sales, auction items and donations will directly support the Foundation's affordable housing units and the tenants living in these buildings.
