SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwired - Sept. 14, 2016) - The Honourable Ralph Goodale, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, on behalf of the Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science, will announce the newest Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) during an official ceremony at the University of Saskatchewan. The CERC program attracts some of the most talented and innovative researchers from around the world, and helps to further Canada's growing reputation as a leader in research, higher learning, and science and technology development.

There will be media availability and photo opportunities following the announcement. Minister Goodale will then tour the university's phytotron.
