Media Advisory: Government of Canada to Commemorate the National Historic Significance of Women Workers in Canada's Military Munitions Industry

QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Nov. 7, 2011) - The Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Veteran's Affairs and Member of Parliament for Lévis-Bellechasse, will participate in a ceremony to highlight the National Historic Significance of women workers in Canada's military munitions industry. Thousands of women made a significant contribution to this industry during the Second World War.

Minister Blaney will take part in this event on behalf of the Honourable Peter Kent, Canada's Environment Minister and Minister responsible for Parks Canada.
