Media Advisory: Government of Canada Consults Stakeholders in Calgary on Plan to Strengthen Financial Literacy of Seniors


CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - June 25, 2014) - Minister of State (Finance) Kevin Sorenson and Canada's Financial Literacy Leader Jane Rooney will be available to the media following stakeholder consultations in Calgary on a proposed blueprint to strengthen the financial literacy of seniors. Current and near seniors are the focus of the first phase of work in the development of Canada's national strategy for financial literacy.

The media availability will take place on Friday, June 27, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Momentum, 16-2936 Radcliffe DR SE, in Calgary, Alberta.

Members of the media who wish to attend the media availability are required to confirm their attendance by email at, before noon, Thursday, June 26, 2014.
