Media Advisory: Government of Canada Consults Stakeholders in Halifax on Plan to Strengthen Financial Literacy of Seniors #SeniorsFLC

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - June 20, 2014) - Minister of State (Seniors) Alice Wong and Canada's Financial Literacy Leader Jane Rooney will be available to the media following stakeholder consultations in Halifax on a proposed blueprint to strengthen the financial literacy of seniors. Current and near seniors are the focus of the first phase of work in the development of Canada's national strategy for financial literacy.

The media availability will take place on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Minister's Regional Office, 12th Floor Boardroom, 1801 Hollis Street, in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Members of the media who wish to attend the media availability are required to confirm their attendance by email at media@fcac-acfc.gc.ca, before noon Monday, June 23, 2014.
