Media Advisory: Government of Canada Opens State of the Art Health Research Laboratory at NRC in Halifax

Biomolecular Magnetic Resonance Facility houses one of the world's most sensitive magnetic resonance instruments, completes regional capacity for drug development research

HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA--(Marketwire - Feb. 18, 2009) - The Honourable Gerald Keddy, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Trade, will officially open the NRC Biomolecular Magnetic Resonance (MR) Facility at the National Research Council Institute for Marine Biosciences. He will be joined by Dr. Roman Szumski, Vice-President, Life Sciences, NRC, Dr. Martha Crago, Vice-President, Research, Dalhousie University and Dr. Donald Weaver, a Canada Research Chair in Neuroscience and co-founder of Neurochem Inc. and DeNovaMed Inc.
