OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 22, 2006) - James Abbott, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage, will meet with members of the Indo-Canadian community in Toronto, on Friday, to discuss plans to commemorate the Komagata Maru incident. The meeting will provide an opportunity for individuals to present suggestions to the Government.

There will be a photo opportunity before the meeting. The session itself will be closed to the media, but journalists will be allowed to remain for the opening statements only.

There will be a media availability with Mr. Abbott following the meeting.
