Media Advisory: Government of Canada Celebrates Major Ecological Gift in Alberta

CALGARY, Alberta--(Marketwire - Sept 3, 2009) – Media representatives are advised that Member of Parliament Ted Menzies (Macleod) will speak at an event to celebrate one of Alberta's largest donated conservation easements with the OH Ranch EcoGift under Environment Canada's Ecological Gifts Program, and dedication ceremony to honour the legacy of the late Daryl Kenneth (Doc) Seaman. Member of Parliament, Lavar Payne (Medicine Hat) will also be attending the ceremony.

Event: Celebrating Important EcoGift and $500 Million Milestone of Ecological Gifts Program

Date: Friday September 4, 2009
Time: 11:00 a.m. (MDT)
Location: OH Ranch Dorothy, Located south-east of Drumheller on Highway 570.

From Drumheller, travel south on Hwy 56 through Rosedale (8 km). Take the Junction on to Hwy 10 through East Coulee (another 8 km) and continue southeastward on Hwy 10/570 towards Dorothy (about 18 km). OH Ranch Dorothy will be marked with signs.
