Media Advisory: Governor General to Celebrate 100 Years of Flight at the Canada Aviation Museum

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 23, 2009) - Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaelle Jean, Governor General of Canada, will attend the unveiling of Canadian Wings: A Remarkable Century of Flight at the Canada Aviation Museum in Ottawa on Monday, February 23, 2009, at 7 p.m.

The Governor General will deliver remarks.

The Canada Aviation Museum is marking the 100th anniversary of the first controlled powered flight in Canada in 1909 by the AEA Silver Dart. The original Silver Dart was designed and built by the Aerial Experiment Association (AEA), formed under the guidance of Dr. Alexander Graham Bell.
