Media Advisory: Governor General to Deliver Speech at the 2010 Canadian Health Research Awards

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 15, 2010) - His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will attend the 2010 Canadian Health Research Awards—A Celebration of Excellence in Canadian Health Research. The ceremony will take place in the Great Hall of the National Gallery of Canada, on Tuesday November 16, 2010, at 6:30 p.m.

The Governor General will address and congratulate this year's recipients of these prestigious awards who have contributed to making Canada a healthier and more innovative nation.

Canada's Health Researcher of the Year and other awards being presented are synonymous with excellent, internationally-recognized, cutting-edge research. The awards are presented by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and Prix Galien Canada.
