Media Advisory: Governor General to Honour Members of the Association des Scouts du Canada and Friends of Scouting

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 6, 2011) - His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will recognize members of the Association des scouts du Canada and friends of scouting, during a ceremony at Rideau Hall, on Friday, April 8, 2011, at 2:00 p.m.

As chef scout of the Association des scouts du Canada, the Governor General will present recognitions to four groups of young people, aged 12 to 17. He will also recognize 39 adult volunteers and benefactors who have made a significant contribution to the development of Canadian Francophone Scouting.
