VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - May 13, 2008) - Great Canadian Gaming Corporation ("Great Canadian") (TSX:GC) will present a cheque in the amount of $300,000.00 to the Island Corridor Foundation ("ICF") at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Great Canadian's View Royal Casino.

"This very generous donation from Great Canadian Casinos will help ICF to realize our vision of a rail corridor that provides Island residents with an environmentally sustainable, safe, efficient and fully integrated transportation system for the island," stated Chief Judith Sayers and Mary Ashley, co-chairs of the Island Corridor Foundation.

View Royal Mayor Graham Hill was pleased to see Great Canadian support ICF's work, stating, "Great Canadian continues to be a good corporate citizen, contributing substantially to our community. Today, they join with the business community, mayors and councils, chambers of commerce, the tourism industry, politicians, individuals and organizations from up and down Vancouver Island to support ICF's vision for the best use of the corridor."

Howard Blank, Great Canadian's Vice-President of Media and Entertainment, stated, "We are pleased to be able to support the Island Corridor Foundation. Our involvement with this important initiative enables both Great Canadian and the View Royal Casino to give back to the communities we serve. We are proud to be Vancouver Island's only casino and entertainment operator, with locations in both Nanaimo and View Royal."

Blank continued, "Tomorrow will mark the important groundbreaking of our redevelopment of the existing View Royal property, and also mark the commencement of the Island Corridor Foundation's dream of re-establishing the historic mid-Island railway."
