Media Advisory: Guided Tour of the Cassidy Armoury in Timmins, ON

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 21, 2015) - The Algonquin Regiment will be conducting a Guided Tour of the Cassidy Armoury in Timmins, Ontario on the 23rd of April 2015 at 7:00 p.m. for the students, parents and teachers of Timmins High School & Vocational School and Roland Michener Secondary School.

The Algonquin Regiment would like to provide the community with a clear picture of what it is like to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces Primary Reserve. Participants will receive an introduction to infantry equipment, will have an opportunity to test some of these weapons in simulations on the Small Arms Trainer located in the armoury there will be demonstrations of the FORCE Test, the fitness standard for all applicants to the military. Students will also receive a brief lecture on the history of the Algonquin Regiment.

When: 7:00 p.m. 23 April 2015, Tour will be complete by 9:00 p.m.

Where: The Cassidy Armoury, 355 Algonquin Blvd E., Timmins, Ontario

What: A guided tour of the Cassidy Armoury for the students, parents and teachers of Timmins High School & Vocational School and Roland Michener Secondary School.
