Ambassador of Goodwill to Present Program on Character Education and Active Lifestyle

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 24, 2008) - Now in his sixth season with the Harlem Globetrotters, Anthony (Buckets) Blakes will visit Leslie Park Public School in Nepean on Tuesday, March 25, at 1:30 p.m.

Who: Harlem Globetrotter Anthony (Buckets) Blakes

What: Harlem Globetrotter Buckets Blakes will be speaking to students about the team's C.H.E.E.R. For Character program, which was designed with assistance from the U.S. Department of Education and the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. The interactive program focuses on the following character traits: Cooperation; Healthy Mind & Body; Effort, Enthusiasm and Responsibility. During the school visit, Blakes will incorporate the Globetrotters' signature ball-handling skills into a motivational presentation to the students. In addition, students will be challenged to make and keep a commitment to regular physical activity and lead a more active lifestyle.

When: Tuesday, March 25, at 1:30 p.m.
