Media Advisory: Her Excellency Sharon Johnston to Receive Special Recognition Award from the Canadian Psychiatric Association

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sept. 9, 2014) - Her Excellency Sharon Johnston will attend the Canadian Psychiatric Association's (CPA) 64th Annual Conference at The Westin Harbour Castle, in Toronto, on Thursday, September 11, 2014, at 4:30 p.m.

On this occasion, she will deliver an address and will accept the Special Recognition Award, which is being presented to His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Mrs. Johnston for their significant contributions in the area of mental health:

During this mandate, we are adding our own voices to the national effort to reduce stigma and show that mental illness is a matter of health like any physical disease," said Her Excellency.
