OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Feb. 19, 2014) - His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will attend the Canadian Media Production Association's Prime Time in Ottawa conference on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at 1 p.m., in the ballroom of the Westin Ottawa Hotel (11 Colonel By Drive). At 2:15 p.m., the Governor General will take part in an on stage conversation with CTV Ottawa news anchor Graham Richardson.
"I am very much looking forward to discussing the role that innovation plays within our country's film and television industries with the business leaders and experts in attendance," said the Governor General. "It will also be very interesting to touch upon the importance of Canadian producers of film, television and other media, and the reasons why their work is essential to our sense of nationhood."
