WHAT:

Hon. Bal Gosal, Minister of State (Sport) will make an announcement regarding funding for the Passport for Life Program. Media are invited, and a question and answer session will follow remarks. A demonstration of the Passport for Life tool will be provided which will include photo/video opportunities.

BACKGROUND:

Passport for Life is an online tool developed by Physical and Health Education Canada that supports the assessment, development, and advancement of physical literacy among children and youth. At a time when parents, teachers, and principals are grappling with their responsibility to address the consequences of inactivity, Passport for Life provides a set of tools to assess and understand the physical literacy levels of children and youth, providing a starting point for fostering the skills, confidence, and competence to be active throughout their lives.
